Sentiment Delta

The change in a brand's sentiment score between two measurement periods, or the gap between a brand's sentiment score and a competitor's.

Two ways it gets used

Used over time, sentiment delta shows whether a brand's tone in AI answers is improving or degrading — for example, moving from mostly neutral to mostly positive after a product fix ships. Used against a competitor, it shows the sentiment gap at a single point in time, which is useful for spotting a reputation problem that raw mention counts wouldn't reveal.

Why it matters

A brand can hold steady or even grow its share of voice while its sentiment quietly declines, which is a warning sign that mention counts alone will miss. Watching the delta rather than a single sentiment snapshot is what makes the trend actionable.
