Prompt Coverage

The percentage of prompts in a tracked set that return at least one mention of a brand, out of the total number of prompts tracked.

How it works

Prompt coverage divides the number of tracked prompts that surface a brand anywhere in the answer by the total number of prompts in the set. A brand tracked against 100 prompts that shows up in 40 of them has 40% prompt coverage — regardless of how many times it's mentioned within any single answer.

Why it matters

Coverage measures breadth, not depth. A brand can have narrow but intense visibility — mentioned repeatedly across a handful of prompts — or broad but thin visibility, mentioned once across many. Tracking coverage alongside mention frequency shows whether a brand's presence is concentrated in one topic or spread across the full range of questions its buyers actually ask.
