BreadcrumbList Schema
Structured data that describes a page's position within a site's hierarchy, from the homepage down to the current page.
What it communicates
BreadcrumbList schema makes a site's structure explicit — showing that a product page sits under a category page under the homepage, for example — rather than leaving that hierarchy to be inferred from URL patterns or navigation links.
Why it helps beyond navigation
A clear hierarchy signal helps a crawler understand how a page relates to the rest of a site, which can factor into how confidently that page is treated as part of a broader, organized body of content on a topic.
