Zero-Click Answer
An answer that fully resolves a searcher's question without requiring them to click through to a website.
Why it changes the incentive
When an AI Overview, featured snippet or chat answer already contains everything the searcher needs, there's often no reason to click further. Being mentioned favorably inside that answer can matter more than winning a click that may never happen.
Measuring around it
Because zero-click answers don't generate the referral traffic that traditional analytics track, visibility inside the answer itself — not just clicks from it — becomes the metric worth measuring.
