Third-Party Validation
Independent sources — reviews, comparisons, press coverage — describing or endorsing a brand, separate from the brand's own website.
Why it carries more weight than owned content
AI models, like people, tend to trust independent confirmation more than a brand's own claims about itself — a brand described consistently across several independent sources is more likely to be described confidently by a model than one relying purely on its own marketing copy.
Where it comes from
Review sites, comparison articles, press coverage, and community discussion are the most common sources of third-party validation that shape how AI engines describe a brand.
