Seed Prompt
The initial, hand-written prompt from which a broader set of related prompts is generated or expanded.
How it works
A seed prompt is usually a single, natural question a real buyer might ask — for example, "what's the best CRM for a small agency." Query fan-out and other expansion techniques take that seed and generate dozens of related variants, covering different phrasings, sub-intents and follow-up questions the model itself would explore.
Why it matters
The quality of a seed prompt shapes everything generated from it — a vague or narrow seed produces a narrow prompt set, while a well-chosen seed surfaces a much wider and more realistic range of related queries. Choosing seed prompts deliberately is what keeps a prompt set representative rather than accidental.
