Schema Markup
The specific vocabulary (from schema.org) used to implement structured data on a webpage, usually written as JSON-LD.
How it's implemented
Schema markup is most commonly added as a block of JSON-LD in a page's HTML — a script tag containing structured, machine-readable data that mirrors the visible content without changing how the page looks to a human visitor.
Why accuracy matters
Markup that doesn't match the visible content on the page (or that's used to mislead a system about what the page contains) undermines trust in the source rather than helping it — schema should describe real content, not attempt to game a result.
