Indexability
Whether a page that has been successfully crawled is actually eligible to be stored and retrieved by a search or AI system's index.
How it differs from crawlability
A page can be perfectly crawlable and still be excluded from an index. A noindex meta tag, a canonical tag pointing elsewhere, or a duplicate-content decision can all keep a reachable page out of an index.
Why it matters for AI retrieval
Retrieval-based AI systems draw from an index, not directly from the live web on every query. A page that's crawlable but not indexed is effectively invisible to those systems regardless of its content quality.
