Grok
xAI's chatbot, built into X (formerly Twitter), known for real-time access to X posts and a more informal, less filtered tone than most competitors.
What it is
Grok is developed by Elon Musk's xAI and is deeply integrated into X, giving it a distinctive signal most other assistants lack: live access to current posts and trending discussion on the platform. It also has general web search and browsing capability and is available as a standalone app in addition to its X integration.
Relevance to brand tracking
Grok's grounding in live X conversation means brand sentiment and mentions on X itself can feed fairly directly into its answers, a different dynamic than the page-citation model used by Perplexity or Claude. It's a smaller but growing surface for AI-visibility tracking, particularly relevant for brands with an active X presence or exposure to fast-moving public discourse.
