Branded Query
A prompt that includes a brand's own name, such as "is [Brand] good for small teams" or "[Brand] alternatives."
What it shows
Branded queries reveal what an AI engine says about a brand to people who already know it exists — a different and complementary signal to category-level queries, where the brand has to be surfaced from scratch.
A common blind spot
Teams often focus exclusively on branded queries because they're easy to think of, while missing the non-branded, category-level questions that determine whether the brand gets discovered by someone who doesn't know it yet.
