Page Speed for Crawlers
How quickly a page loads and finishes rendering, measured from a crawler's perspective rather than a human visitor's.
Why it affects coverage, not just experience
Crawlers operate within time and resource limits per page. A page that's slow to render, especially one relying on heavy client-side JavaScript, risks being partially read or skipped entirely within a crawler's budget.
The render gap
Some crawlers execute JavaScript and some don't. Content that only appears after a slow client-side render may be invisible to crawlers that give up before it finishes, even if a human visitor would eventually see it.
