Entity-Based SEO
Optimizing around well-defined entities — people, organizations, products, places — rather than around keyword strings alone.
Why entities matter more than keywords now
Modern search and AI systems increasingly reason about the real-world things a query refers to, rather than just matching text. Entity-based SEO focuses on making a brand's identity as an entity clear and unambiguous, not just its page copy.
How it's implemented
Consistent naming, structured data like Organization and Product schema, and links to established entity databases like Wikidata all help establish a brand as a distinct, well-defined entity rather than an ambiguous string of text.
What it doesn't replace
Entity-based SEO complements traditional content and technical SEO rather than replacing it. A clearly defined entity still needs strong content and crawlable pages behind it to actually be useful.
