Claude Projects as a Citable Surface
Claude Projects are private, per-user workspaces with their own uploaded knowledge base — they are not a public discovery surface, and content in one user's Project cannot be found by another.
What actually happens
Per Anthropic's Help Center, Projects let a user create a self-contained workspace with its own custom instructions, conversation history, and a knowledge base of documents they upload directly — PDFs, text, code, and similar files. Claude uses that uploaded content to answer questions within that specific Project, on top of whatever it knows generally and whatever it can retrieve from web search if enabled.
Why this is not a public visibility channel
There is no mechanism by which publishing content on the open web gets it automatically pulled into someone else's Claude Project. A Project's knowledge base only contains what that specific user or team explicitly uploaded, and it stays private to them — it is not crawled, indexed, or shared across accounts the way a public website is.
Why it matters for brand visibility
The practical opportunity here is indirect: if your company produces a comparison sheet, technical one-pager, or documentation that a prospect or analyst chooses to upload into their own Project, Claude will lean on it heavily within that account's conversations from then on.
