Real-Time Browsing
A feature that lets an AI platform search and read live web pages while answering a prompt, instead of relying only on knowledge frozen at training time.
How it works
When real-time browsing is enabled, the model can trigger a live web search or fetch a specific page mid-conversation, and the retrieved content gets added to what it considers before answering. This is separate from, and sits on top of, whatever the model already learned during training.
Why it matters for AI visibility
Real-time browsing is the reason current, crawlable, well-structured web content still matters even though a model's core knowledge is frozen at its training cutoff. Being findable and clearly written in the moment can be enough to get cited, even for a brand the model's training data knows nothing about.
